Leggings are versatile and becoming popular for more occasions then just the gym. Leggings were introduced into fashion in the 1980s, and soon went out of fashion in the 90s. But they’re back in a big way and we can’t get enough of them.
Don’t wear leggings that are too tight or too loose. Your leggings should be tight enough to snugly cover your legs, but not so tight that people can see every dimple in your legs. Make sure that they aren’t so loose that they start to bunch over your legs, because that isn’t very flattering either. You’ll find ones that fit well not only look better, but feel more comfortable.
Mix it up
Leggings are amazing and versatile. You can wear them with a button-down long shirt belted around the waist and ankle boots or with high boots and a long blazer. This is a sharp and classy look but still very comfortable.
Wear bold prints cautiously
Unless you have long & lean legs, darker leggings are more flattering on curvy bodies. We have a great selection of flattering leggings for curvy bodys and those lean long legs.
Long tops rule
Tops should be long enough to cover the buttocks when wearing leggings. Of course rules are meant to be broken so this isn’t set in stone. But if your wearing leggings in the office, you will want to keep your bottom covered.
Wash your leggings
The elasticity relaxes as your body heats it up and the washing helps it to go back to normal. Leggings are partially or totally synthetic and so they don’t breathe as well and they do need to be washed at least every other wear especiallly if warn in a warm environment. I would suggest a delicates bag so they don’t get stretched around in the machine, and avoid any form of heat—hot water, warm dryer, iron or steam— because heat breaks down the elasticity over time. Or even hand washing.
It used to be that leggings were for bumming around the neighborhood or chilling at home. But times have changed. Change the tshirt into a blouse, a blazer with a pair of rocking boots you have yourself a fancy little outfit.
What to put on your feet
Leggings look super hot with a pair of knee & ankle boots but can also be worn with sandals, flip-flops. If you wear your leggings with heels or pumps, make sure that they match your shirt and that you don’t look too trashy. Leggings can also look good with ballet flats or moccasins, as long as the shoes go with the rest of the outfit.
